I believe this was Gloria's (http://undertheginkgotreebb.com/) recipe that she gave to Dad when they shared breakfast detail doing P.A.D.S. at St. Edmund's in Oak Park.
2 loaves bread
2 baking pans
1-1/2 dozen eggs
milk
1/4lb butter (melted)
1/2 tsp salt
cinnamon
Spray baking pans.
Beat eggs, milk, butter, salt.
Pour some liquid in pans.
Cover bottom with bread. (Trim to fit)
Push bread down in liquid.
Pour more liquid, sprinkle layer with cinnamon, continue layering to fill pan.
Bake 350° until eggs are set and all liquid is absorbed in bread.
